Where Christ is the Center

Ushers and Greeters

Greeters

Our Greeters are men and women of the church who are the “first-on-the-scene” for Sunday Morning services. Our mission is to provide a smiling face, a warm handshake, assistance with directions to classrooms, and to convey to everyone attending the services that First Baptist lives up to it’s name of being a friendly, loving Church. We take our responsibility of being “the first impression” very seriously and are constantly looking for ways to assist the membership and visitors.

Ushers

It has often been said that a visitor’s first impression when visiting a church rests upon the shoulders of the Ushers. These men are an important part of the church’s functions.

Our goal at First Baptist is for a large percentage of our men to serve the Lord as an usher on a rotating basis. Our ushers should and are expected to: greet people, offer guidance in directing people to various locations around the campus, help guests find desired seating, answer church related questions, take up offerings in an orderly manner, and deal with unexpected situations.
